Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care.

The course also covers airway management and related pharmacology. Skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

The course is offered to healthcare professional with a background in medical related courses minimum being and advanced EMT as it requires the ability to manage the person's airway, initiate IV access, read and interpret electrocardiograms, and understand emergency pharmacology.

  • Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
  • use of a Defibrillator
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and early management of pre-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia and Tachycardia.
  • Airway management
  • Arrest Rhythms (VF, PVT, PEA, Asystole)
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
  • Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics and Megacode
  • Immediate Post-Cardiac Arrest Care

To equip participants with advanced resuscitation skills that also involves the use of drugs and assessment of various cardiac rhythms.

Target group: Medical practitioners

Duration: 3 Days and should have completed Basic Life Support.
